Marion voted Tuesday for an up-to-date waterworks system and electric light plant. The day was not ideal for being outdoors, but a fairly good vote was polled giving a good big majority in favor of the bond issue.

The first public flight of the wonderful areo-car “Roosedore,” is guaranteed to keep you “up in the air” for an unlimited period. You are invited to join a select company in a marvelous flight. The Airship will start at 8:30 p.m. from the Dean building Saturday, Feb. 13. Round trip 15 cents.

The remodeling of the Y.M.C.A. building is going right on notwithstanding the disagreeable weather the first of the week. The floor in the rear of the building is being raised above the high water mark and an elevator installed which will connect the basement with the third floor. The basement has recently been concreted. When the remodeling is complete this building will be an ideal business block.

Miss Marie Wharton was hostess at a chafing dish party last Friday evening. Those present were Misses Lamoine McIntosh, Bessie King, Eva Bryan, Clara Ainsworth, Mary Chilson, and Clara Frazer.

Geo. Buckley has commenced work on the enlarging of his residence on Billings and Water streets. He will add another story.
