Announcement was made this week at Farmers and Drovers National Bank that Robert Brooks and Edward Colburn will retire in the near future.

Stock owned by the Hadsell, Colburn, and Brooks families will be sold to a group of investors, including Ed Rolfs of Junction City.

Current officers Larry Reiswig and Greg Bowers will have an opportunity to acquire ownership interests and top management responsibilities.

All present bank personnel will be retained.

Cooks who prepare meals for students in the Marion and Florence schools include supervisor Delores Stika, Aileen Hanschu, Vickie Martens, and Juanita Silhan. The food service organization is celebrating National School Lunch Week.

Three anniversary celebrations announced on the social pages include the 40th wedding anniversary of Blanche and Charles Cowan of Marion and the golden wedding anniversaries of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Klein of Marion and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Krause of Lincolnville.

JoAnn Good, foreign language teacher at Marion High School, is one of 15 from Kansas and Missouri to be nominated for a prestigious Rockefeller Foundation fellowship. The 15 teachers were selected by a panel of University of Kansas professors, an administrator of the Rockefeller program, and professors at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
