Marion Auto Supply, fast growing Marion business, has purchased the building formerly owned by Frank Nelson on Marion’s Main Street. The auto supply, which is owned by Jack Regnier, will move into the building by March 1.

James A. Wheeler, M.D., prominent Newton physician and pediatrician, has retired from his longtime association with Axtell Clinic there, is moving his home and medical practice to Marion.

Marion friends will be glad to learn that Pfc James W. Melton, son of Dr. and Mrs. R.R. Melton, was nominated as “soldier of the month” for January at his camp near Frankfurt, Germany.

Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Maltbie have an Air Force oriented family. Twins Gary and Larry recently enlisted in the United States Air Force. Their sister Audrey is awaiting her application acceptance to the WACs, and son, Don, is an Airman First Class stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. All four are graduates of Marion High School.

Mrs. Lois Shea is filing for the Republican nomination for Clerk of the District Court. The present deputy in the office, she seeks to succeed to the position now held by C.J. Ross who does not intend to be a candidate for reelection.
