Department on Aging secretary Lanell Hett provided ice cream cups Sept. 10 to celebrate the arrival of two new grandsons, Grady Hett and Axton Hett, born two weeks apart.

The strength class led by KSU extension agent Tristen Cope began Sept. 10 and will continue twice a week for two months.

Amy Jantz of Newton Medical Center spoke Sept. 12 and will return in November.

State representative candidate Jo Schwartz will have a meet-and-greet session at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the center.

The final makeup meal will be at noon Saturday with Harlow Warneke’s grilled burgers and extra treats.

Flu shots by the county health department will be available at the center from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 9.
